We booked Heather from Purple Poetry for our recent wedding in lieu of traditional wedding favours, and it was one of the best decisions we made.
Heather spent a few minutes chatting with guests before creating a completely unique poem for them on her beautiful vintage typewriter. We were absolutely amazed at how quickly she was able to produce such thoughtful, personal, and beautifully written poems. Watching her work was a real highlight of the day.
The feedback from our guests has been overwhelmingly positive. Many people were moved to tears (happy tears!) by the poems they received, and so many have told us how meaningful the experience was. Several guests have spoken to us at length about their poems and have said they will treasure them forever.
Not only is Heather incredibly talented and creative, but she also brought such a warm and special atmosphere to our wedding. The poems, printed on gorgeous paper, were far more personal and memorable than any traditional wedding favour could have been. She also wrote us a 'newlyweds' poem, made up of thoughts she'd gathered from speaking to our guests throughout the day - and she read this aloud to us at the end of the evening outside as the sun was setting - a very special moment.
I cannot recommend Heather highly enough. She is a truly gifted poet, and I would book her a million times over for any event. Thank you, Heather, for creating such a magical and unforgettable experience for us and our guests.
